The Commission has established a study group to began addressing ways to ensuring that deaf and hard of hearing Kentuckians are alerted, informed, protected, empowered, etc. prior to, during and after an emergency or a disaster. After attending the Accessible Emergency Notification and Information: State of the Science conference at Gallaudet University in November of 2005, the following fact sheets were discovered and KCDHH asked for permission to post these on our website giving the appropriate credit.

The CEPIN (Community Emergency Preparedness Information Network) project was supported by a cooperative agreement administered by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Office of State and Local Government Coordination and Preparedness.
